Peruvian cement company Cementos Pacasmayo announced its consolidated results for the second quarter of 2021 and the six months ended June 30.
Sales volume of cement, concrete and precast increased 257.2% in the second quarter of 2021 compared to the prior-year period, mainly due to the continued rise in sales of bagged cement to the self-construction segment and to the public sector for reconstruction related projects, and to the halt in commercialization experienced during the second quarter of 2020. When compared to the volume recorded in the second quarter of 2019, which did not have any external effects, the increase is 41.8%.
Sales volume of cement, concrete and precast increased 124.1% for the six months ended June 30.
Revenues for the second quarter increased 285.7%, mainly due to the continued increase in sales and to the halt in commercialization during the second quarter of 2020 as mentioned above. When compared to the second quarter of 2019, revenues increased 37.0%.
Revenues increased 119.0% for the six-month period compared to the prior-year period.
